In his first collaboration with Converse, Dior Men's Creative Director Kim Jones, in addition to releasing some sportswear, tweaked the brand's classic Chuck 70 sneakers.
"The design approach for the shoe was very simple: take a classic shoe and then almost enclose it in something to protect it," the designer said.
And with that approach, he added a layer of clear TPU with speed lacing eyelets that bond to the refined 12-ounce canvas upper, providing reinforced stability to the foot. The outsole has also been redesigned with an upgraded diamond grid to help increase traction on city streets.
The new Chuck 70 from Converse will be available in two tonal colorways, involving black and white, each with Kim Jones branding emblazoned on the tongue and insole.
