The shade 'Very Peri' also appears in fashion and beauty predictions for 2022. In fact, the official Pantone Institute presentation included looks from brands such as Lanvin, Chet Lo and the Louis Vuitton men's collection.

However, for many this shade of purple is an unexpected surprise. Let's remember that in 2021 we had not just one, but two shades selected as the colors of the year: the "Ultimate Gray" and a yellow tone baptized as "Illuminating". Both represented the light at the end of the tunnel, after everything lived in 2020.

But with many still struggling with the Omicron variant, and as the entire world enters another phase of uncertainty, the question is: Can 'Very Peri' calm our spirits?

Whatever it is, the color at least gives us a new perspective, as my colleague Kiana Murden told me: “at least it's a new color”. After two years of much suffering and repetitive news, we all want to feel something new. And the fashion houses know it, with glittery looks at the runway shows by Threeasfour, Iris van Herpen, Xüly Bet and Tomo Koizumi, to name just a few.
