Carolyn Adams, the daughter-in-law of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador (AMLO), has been in the public eye due to her publications leading a life with trips to different countries on private jets, purchases of high-priced clothing brands, among other things.

According to the report by Mexicans Against Corruption, one of the properties in Houston belonged to Keith L. Schilling , owner of Baker Hughes, an oil company with which the López Obrador government has contracts. But since September 2019 the house is in the name of Adams.
