Find out how they are committed to the cause!
The rule taboo is hard to break. From generation to generation, from one culture to another, everyone faces the same thing: the rule, we manage it as we can, but without talking about it. Well, we didn't talk! Because, recently, the subject has begun to normalize and, finally, people with menstruation can have access to clear and scientific information. This revolution is due in large part to the efforts made by young companies to change things. Menstrual panties brands, for example, are not content with proposing period protections adapted to current needs, but rather open a dialogue in favor of a fairer world.
Menstrual panties and the awakening of consciousness
Permanent annoyance (especially for the youngest) around a completely natural phenomenon, periodic protections full of endocrine disturbances and disastrous for the environment... the things had to change. From this sad reality, initiatives have emerged that actively contribute to reversing a trend that had become unbearable. In particular, we see the growth of brands that offer an alternative, with all the sense, to disposable hygienic protections: period panties. Its objective is clear: to alleviate the mental load, sometimes enormous, about the period by providing us with a non-intrusive solution that takes care of our health and the environment, and that helps us experience our menstruation in a different way. The principle of period panties is very simple, but you had to have the idea. These resemble, in all respects, classic underwear, but with an absorbent and anti-leak bottom that allows blood to be retained for protection that lasts up to 12 hours. During menstruation, we just put on different panties and we can go through the day or night as if nothing had happened. As we already told you: revolutionary! In order to solve the problems that traditional periodic protection entailed, it was essential to be able to talk about it. By finally addressing this much-avoided subject, menstrual pant manufacturers have also opened the door to a whole new way of expressing yourself about your period.
Menstrual protection drivers that go further
For some brands of menstrual panties, the commitment goes much further. Maintaining a communication about environmental values, they draw attention to a problem that, until now, had remained silent, normalizing, at the same time, the discourse related to menstruation. Thus, the rule has become a social issue in which we are invited to discuss collectively. Materials produced in Europe, OEKO-TEX and GOTS certified, washable and reusable products that offer a useful life of more than 5 years... everything is prepared to achieve an environmental balance. The menstrual panties brand Elia Lingerie, for example, is also committed to women's health through collaborations with health professionals. The fight against endometriosis, especially, is an integral part of her identity. Therefore, it has applied an exceptionally advanced approach to its CSR. Equality in the context of menstruation is another aspect of the issue that menstrual panty brands want to raise awareness about. To do this, they work together with associations that fight against menstrual precariousness or access to periodic protections throughout the world. Therefore, opting for period panties produced by these promoters contributes directly to the awareness of each one with the problems that, until now, had been silenced. Learning to minimize the importance of discussions about menstruation is the first step towards a future in which it will no longer be a distressing topic, since, by expressing ourselves, solutions appear, not only to better cope with menstruation in practice, but also for physical and emotional well-being. Rarely treated seriously (sometimes even through mockery), PMS, menstrual bleeding, endometriosis, and many other disorders thus get more attention. And you, would you talk about your menstruation in your environment to, once and for all, put an end to this taboo?
