MURCIA. When Miguel Ángel Escolar and Jose David García from Murcia - two friends who are passionate about fashion and now also partners - came up with the idea of creating a clothing brand that would be different and stand out from the rest, they were clear: "We wanted to wink at to our region, with which we feel so identified. And what better logo than a lemon?" From there was also born the name that gives its name to the company, Sir Lemon, which since it was founded in 2019 has been characterized by "the freshness and distinction" of original designs in which there is always a reference to lemon, which can have a greater or lesser role; but it's always there. Even on the labels, yellow and in the shape of citrus, worn by the shirts, t-shirts, polo shirts, sweatshirts and pants that these Murcian entrepreneurs sell.
Miguel Ángel and José David say that "we were looking to create a clothing brand that we couldn't find in the current market, with designs that would stand out from other brands and manufacturers in Spain". They themselves are the authors of the designs of these garments that, they explain, "are made in Spain, since we work with artisan workshops, contributing to sustainable fashion and favoring work and the local economy." Thus, they point out, "we provide that touch of extra quality that characterizes us, contributing to the reduction of gases and fuels that would be necessary to transport the garments from other countries."
"In the future we plan to expand our list of products, also manufacturing shoes, accessories...", say the creators of Sir Lemon, who say that their clothes are designed "for any type of person regardless of age, who bet on our designs and manufacturing in Spain".
Thus, in their shirts -with the lemon logo both on the chest, as usual, and on the cuffs- you can find different prints, more informal or more serious. The same goes for the t-shirts, although they lend themselves more to a casual image, with lemons turned into space rockets or planets from an original cosmos, forming part of a skull that is more citrus than pirate or starring in different scenes. There is also a line of polo shirts and sweatshirts, and chino pants.
Currently, Sir Lemon does not have its own physical stores, "but we are in several multi-brand spaces in Spain." They add that "in Murcia we are present in several stores, the most representative being the Glüss Shop, located in the heart of Murcia, on Calle Alfaro 6. We also sell online through our website to any point in Spain."
