A 29-year-old model succeeds in China by posing as older ladies in multimillion-dollar clothing campaigns

It's the busiest time of year for Liang Xiaoqing, a 29-year-old model known for appearing in major campaigns for older women's clothing.

This young Chinese woman has spent 11 years perfecting the technique to appear in all the photographs that she is 20 years older than she is. Brands want her more and more because, they say, she gets mass purchases from the 'anties', as older women in Asia are respectfully called.

Xiaoqing has stated that she always wanted to pursue modeling and she dreamed of being a supermodel when she was 18 years old. Precisely, as soon as she came of age, she attended a session where she had to appear to be a 40-year-old model. She hated the experience, but she loved the check afterward.

"I ended up very dissatisfied with that first photo session", she has declared to the Sohu media: "I felt that the clothes were very ugly and the hair was so voluminous that I could not be seen". However, she earned 25,000 yen, just over 200 euros, a large amount for her young age.

"When I was 18, I just wanted to take some cool photos and make some money," she has recounted. One of the garments she posed in was never expected to sell 90,000 units.

Such a figure caught the attention of hundreds of brands aimed at middle-aged women and she then began a busy work schedule that she continues to this day.

Especially on these dates, close to the Chinese New Year, Xiaoqing works from 4 in the morning to 1 in the morning to participate in all the campaigns where she is requested. Coming to change up to 400 times of set, the young woman is also an expert in changing pose in record time to speed up the process.
