If we counted the English words that come out of our mouths every day, we would be surprised. And the most curious thing is that, in most cases, this is not related to Shakespeare's mastery of the language (or that of Truman Capote, if we think of an American counterpart). In other words, using more Anglo-Saxon terms does not mean that we speak more or better English. Although let's face it, some terms sound better in this language. For example, in the world of fashion, beauty or show business in general. In fact, if you're a regular Instagrammer, you may have spotted a new buzzword: twinning. But do you know what it means?
It comes from the English term twin (twin) and it is about dressing the same as someone. Something that people normally try to avoid and now seems to be the star trend on Instagram. Although it doesn't have to be intentional, it could be a simple coincidence; In the image above, model Olivia Culpo poses at an event with two guests wearing the same jumpsuit as her, explaining: "Okay, totally serious, we came downstairs wearing the exact same thing... this was NOT planned # Big minds think a like." A fun way -and now also trendy- to take advantage of life's coincidences.

But if you want to practice twinning, the idea is to do it on purpose: with your friend, your sister, your partner... you decide (or rather, you decide). Take a look at the models Vika Bronova and Victoria Plum, who join the yellow fever, denim, metal-rimmed glasses and t-shirts with a message with a funny phrase divided into two: "i don't care, i love it ".
Ariel winter and her boyfriend, fellow actor Levi Meaden, use this trend to show that their love goes beyond feelings; a couple that compenetrates sentimentally and stylistically. The Modern Family actress posted this image on her Instagram profile with the following message: "When your boyfriend brings you matching jackets with your names embroidered on them because you were having a bad day." A whole declaration of intent: the couple who dresses together, stays (and poses on social networks) together.
Or the Catalan make-up artist and instagrammer Sara Emdi, who makes it clear that she doesn't mind wearing the same clothes as someone, especially if it's a friend! In this case, moreover, transferring this fashion to swimwear looks with two retro-inspired bikinis with striped bandeau, off-the-shoulder sleeves and matching panties, from the Berry Village brand.
And the fact is that twinning gives a new meaning to the acronym bff (best friends forever). The bloggers and instagrammers Camila Coelho and Aimee Song are a good example of this, accompanying many of their images with their own hashtag: #CamilAimee. Next, one of her synchronized looks, with black swimsuits and enjoying a bath on the Caribbean island of Anguilla.
But if there is a curious case of "twinism", it is that of the friends Sara Ellis and Philippa Bloom, in charge of the Instagram profile Wearetwinset, who have made dressing the same their hallmark. They take twinning to another level by combining not only their clothes, but also their accessories and even their dishes, as you can see in the following images. And not even Sarah's pregnancy has stopped them from continuing to dress the same. The key is to choose clothes that both of you can wear, and keep posting!
