Monterrey.- The Secretary of Education, Sofialeticia Morales, confirmed that despite the increase in daily infections, the return to classes will be on January 10, but with mixed modality and as long as the conditions allow it.
"On Monday, January 10, we return to classes with a mixed modality that implies up to 50 percent (capacity) ensuring compliance with all sanitary measures," said the official.
"Teachers vaccination will begin on Wednesday, then throughout the month of January it is recommended that schools return with mixed modality," he added at a press conference.
The protocols that will continue in schools are the review filters upon entering and in the halls, the bubbles (groups of six children per living room) classes at a distance and classes through the TV school program.
Morales asked the parents to send to the minors with clothes that cover the cold, since they will launch the cross ventilation, which has to do with the placement of fans in the windows to expel germs in the air.
He recalled that at the cut of 2021, 329 campuses were counted with a distance mode, 1,471 face -to -face and 4,288 with mixed classes, giving a total of 5,759 public and private schools.
In addition, the head of Health, Alma Rosa Marroquín, said that random covid tests in schools will continue and launched different recommendations, including double covers in closed spaces.
"A return of up to 50 percent capacity as long as the conditions allow it and we will be evaluating this indicator with respect to hospitalized patients and infections in pediatric patients," said Marroquín.
“One of the most important recommendations (to protect from Covid at home and school) is to have the windows open, search cross ventilation...If it is very hot and the weather or heating is maintained, it is recommended to be opening the windows for 10 minutes every hour, "he requested.
