The incredible transformation of Jessica Chastain in The Eyes of Tammy Faye with which we can barely recognize her

Jessica Chastain is on fire and doesn't stop for a moment promoting all her news. To the HBO series Secrets of a Marriage and her film The Forgiven we must add the biopic The Eyes of Tammy Faye, where the characterization work is so incredible that we can hardly recognize her.

The actress plays Tammy Faye, a very famous televangelist from the 80's in the United States who achieved fame with her husband and then sank due to tax scandals and infidelities. The drama, loaded with changes in the script, is accompanied by that recognizable aesthetic of the evangelist that Jessica Chastain has been able to perfectly recreate.

The curly blonde hair that the religious television star shortened on her birthday, the clothes dyed in 80s pop and pastel colors, the ostentatious jewelry and that ornate makeup with outlined lips, mascara-filled eyelashes and iridescent blue shadows.

To all this we must add the weight gain and the characterization of the passage of time that prevent us from (barely) knowing that Jessica Chastain is behind that paper. A work of performance art that she has already previewed at the San Sebastian Film Festival and that could make her a possible candidate for an Oscar.
