More and more firms join the recycling of clothes with initiatives whose purpose is to encourage it. Upcycling or what is the same, giving a second life to garments makes the fashion cycle more sustainable. In Spain H&M, Mango and Inditex have recycling options and now, until November 26, 2021, Tezenis will also do so.

The lingerie and clothing company has launched "Second Life", a campaign that promotes the recycling of clothing. To do this, it has placed containers next to the checkout of each store that collect garments from the brand and others (as long as they are garments from the categories that Tezenis sells).

Through a subscription, in your application you can exchange clothes for coupons. For every five garments, a 5-euro discount coupon is delivered, valid until December 12, 2021.

This initiative is not the first of the Calzedonia group in favor of sustainability. Previously, the group already had used clothing collection containers in Intimissimi.

The fabrics that are in good condition of these clothes are reused to create new products and the unsuitable garments are used for the production of insulating materials, they are reused as second-hand garments or as rags or cloths for cleaning.

The fashion sector is increasingly aware of the importance of restructuring the business towards a circular, more ecological model. The brands have gotten their act together and among the alternatives they have launched we also find the use of recycled materials and the reduction of the impact on the environment: lower water consumption and a constant reduction in CO2 emissions.

Tezenis, for example, uses recycled lace, sustainable modal, recycled microfiber, recycled nylon, organic cotton, and recycled tulle. The firm has a sustainable collection, Be the Change, in which more than 50% of the garments are made with these materials.
