‘The Squid Game’ has been a worldwide phenomenon and has put South Korea on the serial map. We cannot say that the Asian country had not produced great productions before -in fact Netflix is full of successful South Korean series-, but the boom in Hwang Dong-hyuk's series was such that it far exceeded the best figures on the platform.
In the first 28 days, ‘El Juego del Squid’ broke the record in viewing hours with 1,650 million, surpassing ‘Los Bridgertons’, which had 625 million. It became clear: we like everything Korean and not only for its cosmetic products.
